Vivace Biomedical Systems Mission Support

A major purpose of the space program is to improve life on Earth.  Not only do we now better understand global climate and weather trends, but significant technology has also been developed for space exploration that are now a part of our daily terrestrial lives.  Cell phones, Velcro, memory foam, certain medical advances have been derived from space technology.

Vivace is continuing this tradition by actively seeking opportunities for technology transfer to adjacent markets.  Vivace is using knowledge of ultra lightweight pressure vessel design to develop mobile hyperbaric chambers, for example, which could someday delivery the benefits of hyperbaric medicine to the warfighter and civilian alike.  Victims of gunshots, crush injuries, strokes, and cardiac arrest would see a tremendous improvement in outcomes from this technology.
